Caterham Announce R300 Build Priority Booking Scheme

Due to an anticipated increase in demand for the new R300, Simon Lambert (Caterham Motorsport Manager) announced the introduction of a priority booking scheme.

"Caterham is in the process of increasing production to meet demand for new cars. At present, orders are being taken for delivery in December/January. Enquiry levels for the R300 have been very strong and we anticipate increasing the grid size significantly next year.

Obviously the delivery timing of race cars for a new season is more critical than a road car, with most customers requiring the cars to be completed in order to have ready for testing typically by the end February.

In order for potential R300 customers to receive their cars as early as possible, Caterham are inviting fully refundable early deposits* in order to secure build slots with delivery in December or early January. Whilst we will endeavour to supply late ordered cars as early as possible in time for the season, these will obviously follow all that have had their delivery time secured via the above."

* The first deposit is £2000; this is fully refundable for cancellations prior to the 30th November 2009.

David Rowe (dpr Team Principal) said "The new R300 championship has set a new benchmark for cost effective but truly exciting motor racing; the R300 grid is already significantly increased from the start of the season.  There is limited capacity to build new cars for 2010 and the Caterham early deposit scheme provides a win-win arrangement to get a build position agreed.
