Caterham Academy 2010 - dpr motorsport services

Contact dpr motorsport to find out how we can help novice racers who have signed up for the 2010 Caterham Academy.  We offer a fixed price Academy initial set-up together with a race-readiness service check.  We can also arrange a fitting for the Real Essential resin-bead seat that offers additional safety and comfort.  For taller drivers this may be an essential requirement to ensure sufficient clearance between helmet and roll-cage.

Fixed price initial car set-up and race-readiness service checks

For novice drivers the most important aspect is to gain seat time in the car.  However, a badly set-up car will limit race performance and for on-track use the build engineering needs to be of the highest standard to ensure race-reliability. 

Our flat floor Academy initial set-up costs £200* to include any platform ring machining to obtain required ride height and set-up fuel.  Our set-up measures and adjusts (where required) all of the attributes specified below:

Where a car has already been set-up the work will comprise a set-up check followed by any required adjustments.  In this case the charge will be based on time taken and any parts fitted but, in any event, will not exceed the maximum charged for the initial set-up.  After completion of the set-up we provide you with a personalised set-up sheet to confirm the specific set-up including driver weight together with advice as to the optimum fuel level for race use.

Real Essential resin-bead seat

We are working closely with Real Essential to provide  a resin-bead bespoke seat specifically to fit Caterham race cars. This seat allows the driver to sit close to the floor and have robust support including the important upper body area. This seat is now available in a professional flame retardant fabric that can be embroidered with personalised logos as required.
