Caterham Academy: Race Readiness & Service Checks
At DPR Motorsport we can help you in all aspects of getting to grips with the Academy except that we can not provide team support at the actual Academy race days. However we can provide technical support for your car set-up and full race-readiness service checks.
First service with race readiness check
We have developed an initial race readiness check which can be combined with a first service. We will highlight any areas of the car that require additional work to comply with the regulations or to improve race performance. Some examples of this work are listed below.

Check compliance with the regulations.

Fit transponder, FIA rain light and shape & fit roll cage cladding neatly taped in place.

Seal the boot floor with tape.

Race focused servicing – Our service process is designed to detect and prevent mechanical failures as a result of track use. We check that critical nuts and bolts are correctly torqued and wheel bearings correctly adjusted.

Caterham braking knowledge - Even though the pad choice on Academy cars is limited there are a number of areas in the standard braking system that can benefit from specialist attention.

Racelogic Vbox expertise - We make in-depth use of the Racelogic Video VBOX system ourselves and are authorised retailers/installers for this system.

A driver focused approach to seating positions - The correct seating position is all-important. Under MSA requirements there must be a 50cm gap between the helmet and roll cage that can be a challenge for a driver who is too tall use the standard Tillett seat. Within our seat fit process we perform checks on the driving position as well as the MSA requirement including whether the standard Tillett can be used or whether a new seat is necessary in which case for a quality and safe solution we recommend a resin-bead seat,
Total service
At our newly built Redhill based service centre our dedicated customer waiting area provides a private area to work with access to our high speed Internet link. We can taxi you to the nearby Redhill railway station with a direct connection to London Victoria and London Bridge. By arrangement an early morning/late evening and weekend car arrival/departure service is available. Making use of our fully enclosed race shuttle we offer a collection and delivery service throughout areas within and adjacent to the M25. Our workshop is our marketing department with full visibility provided for the work on your car.
